I will have way too much time while traveling, so I will keep you up to date with boring posts.
8.50 arriving a the airport

I just said goodbye to my parents, my dad helped me carrying my bags to the check in. My mom had to stay with the car, so I said goodbye to her. There was a lot of snow on the road, so it took a bit longer than expected.
9.50 check in

wow, my baggage check went rather easy, despite that I had way to much weight and 2 bags. Hopefully the bags will be there when I get in Stockholm. i’m waiting for the gates to open, will take a couple of minutes I think. Düsseldorf is a rather lame airport, it’s way to expensive too. 8 euros for a coffee and a sandwich, the bastards.
10.42 in the airplane

Jeeeeej, finally on my way to Stockholm Arlanda! I’ve never been in such an empty plane. i think there around 15 people max. Unfortunately the stewardesses are not beautiful blond women. In fact I think they have to same age as my mom.
Shht, don’t let them know.
Damn, i think I’m really gonna miss the “your mom” jokes back at my school.
Somewhere in between

great they have an charger here in the second class, you can’t beat that. For a moment I thought that there was also internet here, but you have to be in first class to use it (booo).
Stockholm is not very cold, but at least there is some snow. Just now it really gets me that i’m in a strange foreign country. A lot of big rock-things, a lot of pinetrees and wooden red and yellow buildings. The nature looks at the moment a bit like a crossover between the Spa (in Belgium, not far form my parents house) and the Veluwe (a flat sandy natural park in the middle of the Netherlands). But I expected more mountains! I think I have to travel more up north for that.
fact: my first buy with Swedish money was a Whopper. Legendary.
